After much anticipation, the polls for the 2014 IE HOT LIST opened last week. Voting kicked off Monday, September 1st and things got exciting right out of the gate. With more than a dozen new categories to vote in and hundreds of new nominees, the first few days saw a frenzy of activity. After the first week, we counted a whopping total of 1,286 nominations and more than 2,600 votes.
Through the first week of voting, these were the top categories:
Deep dish, thin crust. Pepperoni, mushroom. Takeout, delivery. When it comes to pizza EVERYONE has an opinion.... http://t.co/FUCnFeBCBL— IE HOT LIST (@IEHotList) September 7, 2014
A little romance never hurt anybody. Which Fine Dining helps sweep that special someone off their feet? http://t.co/NxKJfudRaG— IE HOT LIST (@IEHotList) September 7, 2014
Throughout the contest, we'll keep an eye on the most popular and hotly contested categories on the hot categories page
The 2014 contest is off to such a great start because IE HOT LIST voters are passionate about the things that make the Inland Empire area great! Want to know which businesses the experts are supporting? Check out the top voter leaderboard to see the most prolific voters and get some fresh ideas for things to do around town.
After a strong first week, we expect Inland Empire area voters to keep their foot on the pedal. Nominees that got out to fast starts may be sitting pretty in first place now, but with the polls open until 2nd of November, complacency is not an option. Until next week!
